Michelle Zainab Mulk, founder of ilearnenglish, embodies the transformative power of language and cultural exchange. Born to Afghan-American parents in Portland, Maine and raised in Los Angeles, Michelle's multicultural upbringing sparked a lifelong passion for connecting across cultures.

After earning her Bachelor's degree in Public Policy with a focus on International Relations from UC Riverside, Michelle pursued her TEFL certification, launching her into a remarkable journey across four continents. Her adventures took her from the bustling streets of Thailand to the ancient wonders of Egypt, from China's dynamic cities to Peru's rich cultural landscape. Along the way, she mastered multiple languages – Farsi, Spanish, Egyptian Arabic, and Urdu – while nurturing dreams of adding Turkish and Italian to her linguistic repertoire.

These immersive experiences shaped Michelle's unique teaching philosophy. Working with students from Spain to Japan to Saudi Arabia, she developed a deeply personalized, communicative approach to language instruction. Michelle firmly believes that every student's journey to English fluency is unique, requiring tailored strategies that honor their individual learning style and cultural background.
